hangover cure: Go back to bed. Have spicy pho, delivered. Water. TV. Bitty evening cocktail, for balance. Fall asleep on couch. I’m doing it now actually.

if you were a cocktail, which would you be and why? something served in a pineapple with straws.

cocktail of your youth: “7 & 7”. Easy to order, and it took me years to realize what i was drinking was in the name. Duh.

gateway cocktail: Margarita (in New Mexico)

favorite bar food: steak tartare, white anchovies, hot pretzel with mustard

most prized bar possession: original Trader Vic Pinky Gonzales mug, a gift from my sweetheart. Come to think of it, he’s my most prized bar possession.

forebroads who inspire you: “Anonymous” (her accomplishments are endless)

hilarious cocktail story: “Night of the Punches” – the gathering which ended with Barbara West giving cartwheel lessons in my dining room. Yay!

hilarious cocktail recipe: “Sex on my Face” from the classy Macho Man’s Drinkbook: equal parts Yukon Jack, Malibu, Southern Comfort, & banana liqueur with a splash of oj, splash pineapple. Mix in tall glass over ice. Hilarious and soberingly vile.

if you were a cocktail, which would you be and why?  Bijou. Smooth, silky, & GREEN! (well, it has Green Chartreuse in it. Close enough!)

hilarious cocktail story:  Hosed down all the guests at my bar with a double batch of bright red Raspberry Gimlets when my shaker seal broke. Best part is that the one dude who was really mad and really rude to me about it, got berated by all of my regulars.  It’s nice to be defended when you screw up!

hilarious cocktail recipe:  I think it has to be the Cement Mixer. Who doesn’t like a good practical joke “cocktail”!
