Hi Pink Lady, I mixed up a couple of Lion's Tales to celebrate the beginning of Fall. I found the drink to be incredibly tart, probably because I used fresh lime juice and not Rose's. I did add about 1/4 oz. of simple syrup since I noticed CocktailDB.com lists it as an ingredient. I think the recipe needs at least a teaspoon (perhaps a bit more) of simple syrup to balance the tart fresh lime juice. Once I had the balance, I found the Lion's Tale to be a nice drink. Thanks for introducing me to the Allspice Dram!
