Since I'll be running the Boston Marathon for the first time this year, a post-race Guinness seems like it would be my speed - especially because I'm slow, slow, slow - and also deluded enough to even try to reach the finish line. I'm raising money for Bottom Line, a group in Jamaica Plain that helps Boston students apply to college, and then stay there once they enroll. There are about 800 students currently in the program, and many are the first in their families to ever go to college. If you're curious and inclined to donate, http://firstgiving.com/clarasilverstein Toasts of all kinds before and after race day also appreciated!

Ah, good point, Neyah. As Creme de Violette was not available for many years and many are still not aware of its return (Thank you Eric Seed and Haus Alpenz!) I've found it best to chat with anyone for whom I may be making an Aviation about the cocktail and their preferred variation. Fancy Brandy chose to post here the version that helped us through our Violette drought.<br/>For those of you in the Boston area who want to learn more, head over to the bar at No 9 Park and have John, Ben or Ryan talk you through their flight of Aviations.
