I was also pleased to see the entry from May about Jackie Cochran, being the aviation buff that I am. I’d like to suggest another “broad” for you to profile – Lee Miller. She invented the solarization process in photography along with Man Ray, was a successful Vogue model, and went on to become one of the only female war correspondents in WW2 to cover actual combat in the field. She was famously photographed taking a bath in Hitler’s bathtub after the fall of Munich. She was also an enthusiastic whiskey drinker.
